¿Tú también quieres ser Au Pair? / Do you want to be an Au Pair?

¡Hola, hola! Debido al interés de muchas seguidoras en saber qué he hecho para llegar hasta aquí, he decidido crear un post en donde explicarlo.

Para convertirte en Au Pair no se exigen requisitos importantes. El fundamental es tener una edad de entre 18 y 30 años. De resto, debes venir con muchas ganas e ilusión por trabajar y aprender ayudando a otra familia. En cuanto al nivel de inglés, no es importante poseer uno elevado, ya que trabajar de Au Pair es hacer un intercambio cultural, en donde la persona se ofrece a trabajar a cambio de alojamiento y aprender el idioma. Muchas veces incluso te pagan las comidas, eso y otras muchas cosas como tener coche propio, trabajar más o menos horas y librar uno o varios días depende del acuerdo que llegues a tener con cada familia.

La forma de encontrar familia puede ser de lo más sencilla, o de lo más complicada. Depende normalmente de la suerte que se tenga y de cómo se busque. Existen varias maneras que son las siguientes:

- En páginas gratuitas de internet. La más conocida es Au Pair World. Aquí puedes crear tu perfil de Au Pair explicando con detalles todo sobre ti. Las familias también crean el suyo hablando de ellas, los niños y el trabajo. Tu puedes buscar la que más te conviene o ellos encontrarte a ti.

- En agencias de pago. La que yo conozco es Spanish Au Pairs. Aquí puedes registrarte tanto como para ser Au Pair sola, Au Pair en pareja (con tu novio, hermana o alguna amiga) o también te dan opción de trabajar en hoteles. Es un poco cara, unos 500€.

- Por Facebook. Esta es la forma para mi más eficaz de hacer una búsqueda gratuita. Debes buscar en Facebook el grupo "Au Pairs Españolas en Londres". En él hay muchísimas chicas y algún que otro chico que escriben cuando van a dejar sus familias para encontrar otra sustituta/o. Si te interesa las condiciones que tiene su familia sólo debes mandar un privado y esperar a que se pongan en contacto contigo. También hay otros grupos como "Au Pair in England" o "Au-Pairs in Uk". Yo encontré a mi familia a través de uno de ellos.

- In paid agencies. The one I know is Spanish Au Pairs. Here you can sign up to be both single Au Pair, Au Pair couple (with your boyfriend, sister or a friend) and also give you option to work in hotels. It's a bit expensive, about 500 €.
