British Museum

Hello darlings! Una semana más vengo a mostrarles un poco de mi experiencia en tierras anglosajonas, aunque esta semana, es más especial que otras debido a que... ¡en tres días es Navidad!

Mi última visita fue culturalmente enriquecedora, fuimos al Museo Británico.

Hello darlings! One week more I come to show some of my experience in Anglo-Saxon lands, but this week is more special than others because... in three days is Christmas!

My last visit was culturally enriching, I went to the British Museum.

El British Museum es uno de los más importantes y más visitados de todo el planeta. Esto se debe a que contiene más de siete millones de objetos de todos los continentes y dentro de ellos, la sección del antiguo Egipto es la más grande de todas. Dentro de sus colecciones abarcan diversos campos del ser humano como historia, arqueología y arte.

He de confesar, que este mundo me fascina. Desde mi época de instituto se me daba muy bien la historia antigua y el arte. Me encantaba saber cómo se había formado el planeta, de qué manera pensaban nuestros antepasados y cómo hemos llegado a ser lo que somos hoy en día. Perderme entre estas inigualables joyas de épocas ancestrales fue toda una maravilla.

Los departamentos de este museo se dividen en diferentes periodos y culturas con sus imperios y sus detalles e importancia desde la prehistoria hasta hoy en día. Podemos encontrar piezas griegas, romanas, orientales, egipcias, africanas... Todas ellas cedidas desde cada rincón del mundo y de manera excepcional a este museo. 

¿Es justo que en Reino Unido cuenten con tal magnitud de antigüedades de todo el planeta?

Algunas personas piensan que no, pero en mi caso, creo que es una oportunidad de recorrer, admirar y entender pedacitos del mundo en un sólo lugar...

The British Museum is one of the most important and most visited worldwide. This is because it contains more than seven million objects from all continents and the section of ancient Egypt is the biggest of all. Among its collections you can discover various fields of human beings as history, archeology and art.

I must confess, that this world fascinates me. From my time in the high school I was good at ancient history and art. I loved knowing how the planet was formed, how our ancestors thought and how we came to be who we are today. Lose myself in these wonderful gems of ancient times was a marvel.

The departments of the museum are divided into different periods and cultures with their empires and their details and importance from prehistory to today. We can find pieces Greek, Roman, Oriental, Egyptian, African... All of them transferred from every corner of the world and exceptionally to this museum.

Is it fair that in the UK have this magnitude of antiques from around the planet?

Some people think not, but in my case, I think it is an opportunity to explore, admire and understand places of the world in one place...

Podría llenar el post de fotos y más fotos ya que el museo es enorme, creo que me faltan un par de visitas más para terminar de completarlo, pero lo mejor es dejar que lo descubran por ustedes mismos si tienen la oportunidad de venir.

En cuanto a mi look, esta vez vine abrigada con un jersey de pelo que elegí antes de venir aquí, y vaya elección más acertada. Si entro en algún establecimiento tengo que quitarme la chaqueta que lleve puesta encima porque me muero de calor. Lo combiné nuevamente con jeans y mis botas todoterreno.

I could fill the post of pictures and more pictures because the museum is huge, I think I need a couple of visits to finish completing it, but it's best to let you discover for yourself if you have the opportunity to come.

As for my look, this time I went warm with a sweater of hair that I chose before coming here, and it was a right choice. If I enter an establishment, I have to take off my jacket I wear because I'm dying of heat. What I combined again with jeans and my boots of mountain.
